Fayose Campaigns for Adetunmbi in Ikole
Former Ekiti-State Governor, Ayo Fayose has declared that the Action Congress (AC) candidate Olubunmi Adetunmbi will win Saturday’s rerun election in Ekiti North Senatorial district, urging the people to resist the alleged concluded rigging plan of the PDP and INEC.
Fayose who made the declaration at Ikole local government during the campaign of the AC for its candidate, Adetunmbi disclosed that the duo of both Governor Segun Oni and the PDP candidate, Ayo Arise were not ready for the rerun adding that they are only relying on rigging.
“Both Arise and Oni have left Ekiti for the past three days now to Abuja when the election is Saturday they have gone to Abuja only to beg the INEC to help them rig the rerun for Arise the way they rigged Ido/Osi election for Oni in the last rerun” Fayose said.
“ But they will expose themselves to ridicule more this time around even more than before because Ido/ Osi saga exposed the PDP and INEC`s anti-democratic nature and that is why I cannot identify with the party that rig election, I can no longer identify with the party that carries ballot boxes and the party that carries gun, matches and other dangerous weapon to rob of their mandates”
“Though I have said it times without number that I am not an AC person but I am for the truth and I am with and in support of the common man and wherever the masses says they are going is where I am going too” “Some people said I did not go back to farm because Oni is sworn in as Governor after the rerun, yes I cannot go back to farm because the AC won in the rerun and it was clear to everyone what Adebayo Ayoka and the INEC did during the last rerun. So the AC has the victory and not Oni. Everyone knows how INEC rigged the election for Oni and I am happy because the overwhelming evidence the AC has against the PDP this time around is even more than first one
“So let all of us go and prepare for them because we know that they are going to rig again but we will not allow them and I also want to implore you all not to fight or make trouble with them on the day of election but we should not allow them to carry our ballot boxes or rig our election”.
“I know that Arise with all his (Ifunpa, Olode, Aluwo, guns and matchets) that he relied upon cannot win the rerun because many things will work against him and part of them are lack of good manners, his pride will work against him and the fact that throughout the time he was there as Senator, he has no achievement, except buying beer, and distributing cutlass and juju for the youths. It was when the court sacked him that he now started running helter-skelter, trying to build one small clinic, very shameful.”
“One thing I know for sure is that, no reasonable Oye son or daughter will want to vote for him, and I Know that Original sons of Ifaki will prefer to vote for Adetunbi to have a Senator than to lose it to Arise more so when they know that Oni will soon go”
“I want the people to remember that when I was the governor I promised to construct a better road for them which I fulfilled immediately and the road is now the best road in Ekiti today. So I want to appeal to the people of Ikole local government to pay me back now in kind by voting for Adetunmbi and ensure that he wins the Saturday re-run” Fayose stated.
In his own speech, Adetunmbi described Arise as a man with golden opportunity but misused it and messed by neglecting the people after achieving his, adding that it now time to rip the sour seeds he had laid as his nullification of his election has become a thing of joy for both young and old in Ekiti because of the way he behaved when he was in Abuja.
Adetunmbi however promised to strive for better tomorrow of the youths in the area even as he promised to ensure that some of them are assisted to buy their own cars by the time he is elected as senator representing them in Abuja.
The campaign team visited Irele, Oke Ako, and Ipao in Ikole local government where they were giving rosy welcome Among other dignitaries at the rally included a PDP Chieftain, Deji Adesua, President Ekitiparapo in USA, Mr Segun Ajibulu, Jide Awe, Ronke Okunsaya, Akin Olayisade, Senator Bode Ola, and Diran Adesua.
