FAYEMI WISHES MUSLIMS HAPPY ID-EL-FITR  

The gubernatorial Candidate of the Action Congress in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has sent a goodwill message to Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of Id-el-Fitr celebrations which marks the end of the Ramadan fast.  

He admonished them to always emulate the good examples of the Holy prophet Mohammed (SAW) especially as it concerns the Ramadan fasting. Fayemi noted that the period of Ramadan afforded the Muslims to move closer to God as a result of which they became spiritually uplifted.. He advised them not to go back to the vices which they have dropped during the Ramadan period. ‘I rejoice with Muslim faithfuls in Ekiti State and Nigeria in general on the successful completion of this injunction from Allah which is the fourth pillar of Islam as entrenched in the Holy Quran Chapter 2:183.’ Fayemi said.  

Addressing Muslim faithfuls further, he urged them to extend the same spirit of self-denial and patience exhibited during the month of Ramadan to their daily life by being honest with their fellow human beings and always stand by the truth. He enjoined Muslim faithfuls to adhere strictly to the moral, political, social, spiritual and ethical lessons of the Holy month.  

He commended Islamic clerics for their steadfastness in daily prayers for Ekiti State. He expressed optimism that their prayers shall soon be answered as God will give Ekiti a people’s government.
