The Ikun Diary Farm Mega Failure of Ekiti PDP Government

Ekiti PDP government had recorded another mega failure by bungling the multi-million naira Ikun Diary farm. It would be recalled that Ekiti PDP had claimed to have bought 700 cows for 600 million naira, apart from other money gulping imaginary exigencies on the farm.

Ekiti PDP government which had just declared its intention to build an ultra modern international airport could not manage ordinary cows in Ikun Ekiti. The farm had now become a ghost site with the workers ostensibly employed fleeing in droves for non-payment of their salaries.

It is shocking at the revelation of the presence of Zimbabwean farmers on the farm when the PDP regime had kept such contractual arrangement with foreigners secret.

The PDP regime had frittered the State resources on these foreigners who had not justified their invitation. Also a lie had been put on their claim that the diary farm had gainfully engaged Ekiti indigenes with the recent sack of few hands that were used as Dummy workers, while the few remaining ones were being owed several months salaries.

The pathetic effect of this executive misdirection is the ruminating excesses of these ‘golden cows’ which are on the loose, grazing on the farm produce of hapless Ikun farmers

The ill conceived naira sucking project had yielded despair and anguish for the people of Ikun, who daily contend with animal wastes and nuances that had been thrown into their streets and farms. The farm has become a source of cow dung instead of cow milk.

It is on record that since 2007, this PDP aberrant regime had recorded no successful goal. It had reneged on all promises and faltered on every step. It could not even successfully site a State University while the existing one had been taken over by deciduous forest and omnivorous animals.

The simple routine of salary payment is an obtuse bone in its throat with a morbid healthcare system.

We wonder who would patronize its illusory airport when the regime is a scare to investors, as it had regrettably plundered an ordinary small scale farm of animal management.

We condemn the PDP’s government by impulse which believes in governance by radio announcement that acts before cogitating. This reflex governance had robbed Ekiti of huge resources.

The erratic solar light experiment, clinically dead blue clinics, ill-advised compulsory school boarding system and Irewolede dry water taps are testimonials of these pleasure trip policies.

It is now obvious that all the advertised achievements of the PDP regime in Ekiti are mere tantalizing mirages of the exponents to deceive an unsuspecting public. This is confirmed with the collapse of all their castles of falsehood like the failed Ikun dairy farm, the inherited Ilawe Road Housing Estate, potholed road revolution, deceitful concessioning of Igbemo ROMACO to fiduciary lackeys and the clownish due process.

At the appropriate time Ekiti people would trace the route through which their commonwealth eloped, as the locusts would soon yield to fumigation.
